4006. P.H. Rose, Hotel de France, Chateauroux. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/R.24.1.39. I am coming over to Paris, arriving Monday night next week, and should like you to bring up the car to Paris so that you will be there by 10.30. Tuesday morning, January 31st. The object of the trip to Paris is to enable me to try the car in its present state, and then to get you to weld up the frame. I will then try the car again to see if it has cured it. The frame will want welding up on the gussets and on the cross if the rivets have worked up on this point. Please examine them to establish this fact. If you could arrange with Sr. to get the welding done in Paris without advertising the new Bentley, you can do this, otherwise you will have to make arrangements to return to Chateauroux and get the job done there.
