For the attention of Mr. Cloudsley.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of the 1st November.

We were somewhat disconcerted that the reply to our enquiry had gone to Conduit Street, but do not think that any harm has been done.

In spite of the fact that for the moment we are not proposing to purchase a Hayes gearbox, we are very anxious to keep in touch with any developments which may from time to time take place in this transmission, and should therefore be very much indebted to you if you could see your way to do this.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
