To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/AD18.11.29. x7280. STARTER CARBURETTOR FOR PHANTOM CARS. We have received a suggestion from one of our customers which we consider is worthy of attention. The suggestion is that we connect the present red warning lamp to the starter carburetter and arrange it so that the lamp is alight whilst the starter carburetter is on, the object of this of course, is, to prevent the starter carburetter being left on. The fact of using the same lamp both for the water boiling and starter carburetter should not mean any confusion because the two things are never likely to occur together.
