COPY OF REPORT FROM TESTER HENNIKER AT SHORT'S, DATED 10.4.34

re SHORT MONOPLANE R24/31 - SPARKING PLUGS
-----------------------

"I received today the plugs and screens for the above.

After receiving your previous correspondence on the matter I explained the job to the A.I.D. and it was agreed that I should let them see the new screens and plugs when they arrived.

They now, however, will not grant me permission to fit same. They say they have had a note from Mr Ellor but have heard nothing officially about the job at all. Without hearing officially they say they cannot let me touch the engines as they are Air Ministry property."

(sgd) A.M.Henniker
-----------------------

As these are D.T.D.engines we suggest Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst could arrange with Mr.Jaques for the necessary instructions to be forwarded to the A.I.D. at Short's.
