Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Attention of C.Falconer.Esq., Dear Sir, Re: 2.B.5. - Short Wheelbase Bentley. We are now able to supply you with most of the outstanding information concerning the above body not given in our summary Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}18/G of the 2nd.inst. Bonnet and Radiator. The bonnet of 2.B.5. and the rest plate will be identical in shape with that of 1.B.5. The sheet steel dash will be used and the rear end of the bonnet will rest on the scuttle extension only. It will be necessary therefore to make sure that the depressed scuttle extension under the bonnet, when fitted with the rest material already supplied to you, will cause the bonnet to match up with the scuttle proper. We enclose herewith prints of the modified radiator shell FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}166 ( sheets 1 and 2). The contour of the back of the radiator is not changed from that of 1.B.5. but the facial slope has been increased and the base of the grille lowered. Cont'd..... | ||
