The replacement of a faulty switchbox and swapping of ignition coils.

the blades to make good contact to such an extent that when the switch was replaced in its case no contact was made at all. It is considered to be due to wear of the blade contact surface, together with the collected dirt which caused this.

A new switchbox has been fitted.

The Lucas Sports coil has been removed and R.R. coil to D.75673 No.N.46 reconnected. Battery terminals cleaned and vaselined.

The wiring and switchbox have completed 70,056 miles on this car.
