DERBY.

Dear Mr. Swindall,

With regard to exhaust valves in special Silchrome steel which we ordered some time ago from Messrs. Thompson Products Inc. to the drawings of your Bentley valve, I am pleased to say that these have at last come to hand and I am forwarding them to you under separate cover.

Since a small order such as this is virtually a tool room job for people like Thompson Products they have only sent ten finished valves as I gather the forgings of the two others, making up the twelve, were defective. I do not think, however, it is worthwhile asking for these to be completed since you only really require one set for experimental purposes. I would be very pleased indeed to hear from you regarding the performance of these valves. They are unstellited.

Yours very truly,
F.R. Banks
