5th. November 1937.

Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
Wolverhampton.

For the attention of Mr. Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our discussion of yesterday, the following were the points agreed on -

(1)
You will send us 10 new dip soldered oil coolers of existing type to-day, Nov. 5th.

(2)
You will forward the final two new type oil coolers for test purposes to-day, Nov. 5th. The first cooler of this type which you had sectioned gives every promise of being a much stronger job than the existing article.

(3)
You will let us have 15 new oil coolers of new type by Monday, Nov. 8th. or Tuesday, Nov. 9th.

(4)
That all future coolers supplied will be of the new type, i.e. with increased size of bulge and corrected angle of bulge and plates, and that you will proceed with our production and replacements orders on this assumption. This will apply to both new coolers and reconditioned ones. In the case of the latter these will be reconditioned by complete stripping, re-bulging of tube ends, re-striking of plates and rebuilding by dip soldering. New coolers and reconditioned ones will thus be identical and indistinguishable.

(5)
All coolers of the new type will be identified by the prefix 'F' before the serial number instead of the present 'K' prefix.
