x6135 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA. 7th March 1935. Messrs.S.Smith & Sons, Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr.P.Dorer. Dear Sir, We are returning to you today by parcel post the first set of concave dial instruments with the exception of the thermometer. These are being returned in order that you may modify the dial markings exactly the same as the second set delivered to us by Mr.Manwaring this morning. This will mean the old English figures and the additional detail alterations to the speedometer dial including the removal of the disc over the centre portion. We are naturally particularly anxious to receive these instruments back again in order that we can give you an early decision in connection with dials to enable you to go ahead. Both the oil gauge and speedometer have failed on test and will require repairing the latter being temporarily put right by ourselves. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
