VALVE STEELS. X1474

As far as our tests have gone up to date, we
can say that from results in the engine that K.E.965 austenitic
steel appears to be a satisfactory al ternative for the present
sil chrome.

The tests are being continued with valves made
of a reduced section. Also bars of this material are being
obtained in order that forgings can be produced in ou r own
Works.
