A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce Limited, D E R B Y. Dear Mr. Robotham, I was interested to read your impressions following your quick trip to the Dolomites, though presumably the new Italian decision to exclude foreigners from the Bolzano district came as a surprise to you as it did to me. Yes, I had mentioned to Mr. Cowen (as I intimated in my last letter) that as I propose going abroad in August it would be an excellent opportunity to put the new Bentley through its paces and at the same time get some material and photographs ready for publication after the new car had been announced. Mr. Cowen seemed to like the idea, but I think he must have misunderstood the date. I now observe that the car would be available about the middle of August and this fits in very well with my plans because I propose crossing to the Continent on August 15th or 16th and I shall be away approximately a fortnight. If you will now let me know whether the experimental car could be placed at my disposal and what type it is, I shall be very pleased to carry out my original project. | ||
