J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Dugdale, Esq. -2- 10.2.39. (5) I do not know how the rear wheel covers are detached. (6) I know that the rear windows are Perspex, but am not sure about the remainder. (7) I am sending you a print of the piston used, also of the linered brake drum. I have no detail drawings of the damped carburetter pistons, and, incidentally, this would not be very impressive in a picture. I enclose some photographs which Sleator sent me this morning. These are all I have, so far, from my film, and I should, therefore, be very grateful if you would let me have them back just as soon as you have finished with them. As we expect the car will be back at the Works towards the end of next week, if you would like to come up on Friday next and stay the night, you can get any further particulars you like. We enjoyed the hospitality extended to us by Mr. Coatalen. I think you should show your friends your photograph taken outside the "Maison Rouge". It is probable now that the car will not do the hour run until Monday. I think that in fairness to Mr. Paulin we should say that he is entirely responsible for the body, and I have altered the script accordingly. In case anything should happen with regard to the official run I send you herewith details of the lap speeds taken on our unofficial test. Yours sincerely, | ||
