With the deletion of the hydraulic tappet mechanism on the Phantom III valve gear, it should be possible to replace the double valve springs with a single spring similar to the Bentley. As it will probably be necessary to have a new and slightly heavier spring for the new shorter duration camshaft on the Bentley, we are designing the short duration Phantom III camshaft for use with the same spring. We feel that it is desirable to be able to use exactly the same valve springs on all our range of engines. E/PSN. | ||
