PHANTOM III. CHASSIS.

REAR HUB. SECTION 6170.

REAR WHEEL DRIVERS.

G.54989. in S/N. - 1st. in "A" to 175 in "C" Series.

G.85612. in S/ZNCR. was produced to BY's. instructions under cover of memo' BY.1/N.4.9.37.

300 forgings of G.85612. were produced with an incorrect machining allowance, which would not allow hardening of the teeth.

A new drawing G.85648. was therefore produced to enable the above forgings to be used up, these being introduced at 176 in "C" Series.

When the stock of these forgings is exhausted, the original Driver, with hardened teeth (G.85612.), will be introduced.

We are building at present the last 10 chassis in "C" Series.
