TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL PHANTOM OIL RELIEF VALVES. Referring to the above we believe you are proposing, or possibly have standardised, the removal of one of the 3 relief valves, but we cannot trace any correspondence here in connection with it. Would you kindly let us know how this matter stands, and which valve it is that is deleted, or refer us to any memos. giving information required. We are making good progress with the guideless valves for the oil relief, and we are designing the unit in such a form that it can either be used in the present position to replace the existing valves on the Phantom, or can be transferred to another part of the engine.
