(1) STEP IRONS.
These should be improved in design, making them stronger just where they break, but not by brazing. To carry over a 100 lb. battery by the standard step iron is unreasonable. Either a special one, or an additional one should be fitted when the battery is on the runningboard.

(2) WING STAYS.
These should be of our standard design because they can be stiffer, lighter and less expensive than casual ones made of soft steel of solid sections.

(3) SPARE WHEEL CARRIER.
This should always be of our proved standard design for the same reason as (2). They are often ugly and unsatisfactory in many ways.

(4) LUGGAGE CARRIER.
In our carefully worked out and proved design it acts as a tank guard, and is convenient for the number plate. It has a good appearance, and is light. It is impossible for coachbuilders to produce something equal and at the price that ours should cost when manufactured in fair numbers. There is still some little work to be done to this which should be pushed forward.

We have made good progress with the above parts, and now should be adopted when-ever possible, because it should save our buyers money, and add to the appearance and reputation of the complete car. Other items should follow.
