To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x326 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.1/KW.14.1.36. Gearbox out of 33-EX - 2HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 33-EX was jumping out of 2nd gear badly before coming into the shop. The impression one got was that something was displaced or bent in the actuating gear, causing very small tooth engagement when the lever was right home. We have looked at the pieces since the box was stripped, but can see nothing wrong. Will you please have them properly inspected, and if they appear to be in order, will you please counterbore the splines of the 2nd speed sliding piece as on N.Sch.4295.
