| X 224 To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.4/HP. 27.8.32. c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re Bensport Fan Drive. Please find herewith print of Lec.3168 showing the proposed scheme for carrying a fan pulley on the front end of the camshaft. When using this crankcase for Peregrine we can drive the fan in the same way from the camshaft but using a larger pulley in the absence of the blower, and thus relieve the front end of the crankshaft of further inertia if desired. We are showing this on a scheme to be sent later. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [STAMP] RECEIVED 29 AUG 32 | ||
