Re axle strain tests. (EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}7/T16512).
Referring to the attached, this represents a good deal of money, and I think a rough drawing should be made by Mr Bailey in the same way as the drawing made for testing frames which was done at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence by Mr Spinney and myself. I could then judge whether it is a good way to obtain the information we desire. It should be effective and inexpensive.
