J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} COLE, (MANAGING) Wales Farm Road, North Acton, London, W.3. OUR REF SH/EC'K/WFT 31st July, 1934. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, ORDER NO. 66221. We trust that you have now safely received the 5 Ignition Condensers sent you yesterday. You will notice that there is a slight movement in the fixing of the connecting arm and the delay in delivery is due to the fact that we have been trying to rectify this. In view of the urgency of the matter, however, we hope that the slackness in question is not detrimental and that you will be able to utilise the condensers. We do not consider that the matter is of vital importance since, as you are aware, the condenser connection does not rely upon the rigidity of the connecting arm. Due to the slight contraction in the bakelite bush we have fitted we are afraid that it is practically impossible to effect an immovable connection and the design in question does not permit pinning or any such method. We shall be pleased to have your comments in due course. Yours faithfully, FOR THE TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO. LTD. [Signature] SALES MANAGER ALL COMMUNICATIONS TO BE ADDRESSED TO THE COMPANY. | ||
