32-EX. PHANTOM III.

Cooling Tests at Brooklands 29.6.37

Air temperature 16°C.

Temperatures after two laps, full throttle, shutters fixed open.

1. Direct Drive. Water 80°C.
Oil 90°C.

2. Overdrive Water 78°C.
Oil 84°C.

There was no marked difference between the readings of the thermometer in the top water pipe and the standard thermometer in the rear of the cylinder head.
