For the attention of Mr. Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, I wrote to you some time ago concerning the thermostat working in conjunction with the S.U. starting device. Although the later type unit which you sent is working satisfactorily, we have heard of several failures on other cars due to metal particles on the magnet. We wish to know if it is at all feasible to consider doing away with the magnet, as we consider that this is likely to cause considerable trouble, small particles of metal present in the casing eventually finding their way to the magnets.
