Our ref: WL/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 27th May, 1938. Messrs.Rolls-Royce,Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, With further reference to your letter of the 25th inst., we have now had the opportunity of examining the sample thermostat to Drawing BGA.3754 which you have returned. We find that the bottom plate of the frame is buckled, and are supplying a new frame duly strengthened to prevent this. This will, of course, account for the difference in the opening temperature. We are having the opening temperature of the new instrument altered to read 60-70° as desired, and will send this instrument to you very shortly. Yours faithfully, THE BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO., LTD.
