Re: Chassis No. 60-JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} - Trials Car

When the above car was in Paris last June it was
found necessary to substitute Silent Tread tyres with
Buttress Tread tyres, due to the road conditions in France.

In his memorandum ref: C5/C.8.6.32 authorising
the changeover of the tyres, C. wrote to Paris as follows:-

"If you have any difficulty in using up these
buttress tyres, we can have them absorbed
by the Experimental Dept..when they are doing
some of their tests in France".

We understand that P. have not been able to use
up the tyres. We are therefore writing to you at the request
of C. in the hopes that you will be able to utilise them
usefully.
