is dry a small amount of engine oil should be injected with a syringe, say about an eggcupfull. If there is a small quantity of free oil at the bottom, the lubrication is correct.

In case the clutch is neglected or badly used and squeaks when being engaged oil should be applied with the engine running and clutch out. It would be advisable in a case like this to prop out the clutch over night, as evidently all the oil has been used up and left the fabric in its original dry state. It will therefore have to be treated as a new fabric is treated until it again becomes saturated.
