| To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 236 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/MJ.26.10.33. We have to make a decision whether the pistons with the improved gudgeon pin boss shall be run as the standard split type, or the semi split type. We have run 15 hours with the semi split type. Our own opinion is that in order to get a definite value for the modification of increasing the gudgeon pin bosses we ought to stick to that type of piston for our first tests on Brooklands.
