To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 1328 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.11/AP.27.10.37. Thermostat scheme for Bentley Radiator with Dummy Shutters. Referring to the revised scheme which you are drawing for the Bentley thermostat - the thermostat unit itself will now be altered as we are stiffening up the bottom plate and frame - we are at present in touch with makers about this feature and will advise you as soon as we know what can be done in this direction. Further, with the dropped water pressure, we can now return to the makers standard valve size (1 1/2") and dispense with the ball valve bleed (the opening temperature of 80°C. will remain the same). As soon as we have settled the final details with the makers we will obtain a drawing from them of the final thermostat so that you can correct your detail drawing.
