Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 261 Pk/HLH/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}/23.12.37. re: Chassis No. AX.1657. We have received your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/AP.20.12.37. The measurements given do not agree exactly with the dimensions of the races we use in the back axle of the 3-litre Bentley, but they are near enough to indicate that the races required are - one each of Hoffmann 155 and 340 ball races and one W.1 3/4 thrust race. These have been posted to Flight Lieutenant W.L. Houlbrook under the terms arranged. Pk/HLH. | ||
