await the modifications which are in hand for Peregrine.

(14) Controls. - These will require going over in conjunction with the carburetter controls. An LeC. scheme will be issued to cover this item.

(15) Wire Fittings. - By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will instruct a scheme already issued for J.3.

(16) Oil Drain Passage Through Cylinder Head. - An LeC. scheme is required for this upon the lines of LeC. 3189 for Peregrine.

(17) Water Pump. - To be instructed in Aluminium Silicon Alloy for resisting corrosion.

(18) Dynamo Drive. - A scheme in which the gear is mounted separately on the spindle should be produced to facilitate gear cutting and gear grinding.

(19) Air Silencer and Cleaner. - A scheme of anti-resonant silencer with the usual cleaner will be issued in conjunction with the new carburetter.

(20) Gearbox. - J.2. will be fitted with a 20/25 gearbox of the latest design with the rear end modified to suit the scheme for shorter propeller shaft.

(21) Change Gear Lever Shaft. - This will be to design KR. Sch.239.

(22) Flywheel and Clutch. - This should be to the new design from WW - N. Sch.

(23) Brake Drums. - By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will modify these to increase the braking area, and bring them in line with Peregrine.

(24) Propeller Shaft. - By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will produce a scheme for this scaled up from Peregrine, based on the WW.scheme of shorter propeller shaft.

(25) Direct Braking. - By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will look into the question of direct braking on all four wheels, based on the Peregrine scheme.
