To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x4583 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/MS30.11.34. Re: 3. B. IV. Attached hereto is a blueprint shewing the distorted condition of the GB. 873 Front Axle with 4° pivot lean, removed from the above car. In addition to the distortion shewn on the sketch, the following points were also observed:- (1) The Top Pivot Pin Bearing Housing GB. 1227 is badly scored on the track and there are deep indentations due to the rollers. (2) The fulcrum pin holes in the Aluminium Brake Carrier Plates are elongated .008. (3) The Cross Steering Tube is bent due to the distortion of the axle beam. RHC.{R. H.
