Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

Order No. 58209.

In connection with the above order we find that there are one or two discrepancies on your drawing No. EW.1665. The two top views show diameters of 1.950" and 1.990" which appear to be on the same diameter of the moulding.

Another point on which we are not quite clear is at what depth from the underside of the head of the Cap is the full portion of the thread. We have indicated the dimension required in red on your drawing.

We are assuming that radial location between the start of the thread and the engraving on the top of the moulding is not important and as a matter of fact in estimating for the tool cost we have assumed a design which will not place the engraving constant relative to the thread down below. We should be glad if you would confirm that this will be satisfactory.

Will you please forward us, as early as possible, duplicate blue-prints with the corrections incorporated on them.

Yours faithfully,
For BIRKBYS LIMITED.

Y Whitehead
