Re: Chassis No.B-70-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} - Matthews.

Replying to your D/BP/HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector}11/DP.22.8.34., the best place for the aerial is in the roof but if the aerial is fitted in the roof it is necessary to avoid having a metal panel above the aerial or a metal panel in the sliding roof. If the aerial is inconvenient arranged, in the roof the next best place is under the running boards but here again it is necessary to avoid any metal panels above the aerial.

The lead in wire from the aerial should not be placed in close proximity with any of the wires supplying the direction indicators or the dome lights, unless the lead in wire is screened with earth led metal braiding all the way to the set.

We suggest that if Sales can ascertain the maker of the set owned by this customer the wireless set makers would only be too pleased to install the set in the car for him, at quite a nominal charge, and thus ensure that any interference is reduced to a minimum and the aerial placed in a position for maximum sensitivity.
