My object in suggesting that this should be better fixed was that I feared the engine vibrations would cause the coil to move and either destroy its insulation or its connection and so fail in time. Unless we can rely on the bore of the coil being a close fix on the plug I think we ought to have 3 lugs. [Handwritten notes on diagram] If good fit here 2 lugs sufficient. Ought not the core to be a short, close, but free sliding fit at this end? Would an ordinary 60° or slower centre cone make a truer job? Flange should fit, lugs & screws clear. Could screws be a size larger and tapped through into round window or into brass inserts. Small size aluminium thread blind seems very likely to strip. Some small steel screws as you shew, but with round brass nuts would please me. [Handwritten notes on smaller diagrams] Close fit caulked. Other fits clear.
