B.80 - PETROL FEED AND DRAIN PIPES, WATER RETURN PIPE FROM HOT SPOT.

Please receive herewith :-

E.CD.1432 } Petrol Feed and Drain Pipes and Hot spot Water
E.CD.1433 } Return Pipe. B.80.

This arrangement of pipes is for use on the B.80 engine using the Stromberg Duplex 'Aerotype' Downdraft Carburetter number AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}25 with 1.437" diameter throttles and is applicable to Silver Phantom, Comet or Cresta cars, using Induction Pipe to E.CD.1298. The size of pipes and connections to the carburetter are governed by the carburetter itself, and will probably require altering when tested and developed by the Experimental Department. The carburetter in any case will require a number of modifications to make it suitable for Rolls-Royce requirements when a final choice of carburetter is made.

An alteration is called for to the tapping of the petrol drain boss on the inlet manifold, if this is already drilled, an adaptor bush should be fitted to receive the standard Olive joint connection. A Wraith III type petrol filter is used on the engine side of the flexible petrol feed pipe which carries the petrol across from the chassis frame to engine.

Will you please detail and instruct experimentally.
