X7930 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}S/MJ.27.3.30. PHANTOM 11 FRONT BRAKES. Production are in serious trouble with squeaking brakes on the front of Phantom ll. We want to try some brake shoes having a greater arch of contact with a view to decreasing the free portion of the drum, which we believe is responsible for most of the noise. Will you please make up a set of front brake shoes having the lining extended for 1" towards the rear of the shoes.(This will mean altering the brake strap castings) and in addition chamfers which are at present used on either end of the shoes should be deleted. We do not want to order special brake liners for the job so will you fit these pieces cut from standard brake liner. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
