Dear Sirs,
We thank you for your letter of the 2nd August, reference as above, which has had our close consideration.
The No. 115 bearing would be satisfactory for dealing with 15/20 lbs. thrust load.
We can supply this bearing with the races and balls made in non-corrodible steel, and fitted with a yellow metal cage, and this bearing would also be quite suitable for dealing with the thrust load involved.
The bearing would be satisfactory for contact with water, but provision for lubrication would of course still be necessary.
The prices of the bearings are largely dependent on the quantity involved, and in order to enable us to quote you our keenest price, we shall be pleased if you will let us know the number required.
Assuring you of our best attention at all times,
We remain,
Yours faithfully,
THE HOFFMANN MANUFACTURING CO. LTD.
