x5690 BY/RD4/ML1.7.26. C. EFC. IGNITION DISTRIBUTORS. The Test Dept. have been complaining about the noise made by the distributor. I am informed by EFC. that a particular noisy distributor No.1712 has been examined and the position of rocker block in its arm is + .020 and is therefore not working at right angles to the cam, hence the noise. Will you please have this matter checked over to ensure that we get these parts as accurate as possible. Base No. 1712 herewith, which the Expl: Dept. think should not be passed for production.
