Rolls-Royce, Ltd., D E R B Y. Your Ref:- EFC2/AD. Dear Sir, We have your letter of the 15th instant and have noted your remarks in regard to the "Depress Beam Headlamp". We are obtaining a model of this lamp and the writer will investigate personally the advantages you claim in its construction. With regard to our P.100 lamp we are aware, in some of the earlier models the reflectors became discoloured owing to the lamp not being absolutely water-tight. For some considerable time now, however, we have been coating all the interior parts, including the reflector, with a protective colourless lacquer which effectively prevents damage from accidental finger marks, or tarnishing. We have also improved the sealing of the front glass, and we are satisfied that the present lamp will not tarnish in service. | ||
