-----------------

Steering Rollers.

This matter was discussed in general and RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s memo was considered. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} did not consider it likely for any rollers to get through that had not been heat treated correctly.

Sufficient rollers will have to be produced to cover 500 cars, and if we have not enough material to do this, a further quantity will be ordered.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} said Hoffmanns would replace the rollers that were faulty i.e. they would pay for rollers we are producing.

In regard to future production the rollers would be produced by us up to final grinding, and this would be carried out by Hoffmanns.

Silver Ripple.

It was agreed material for this need not be ordered before July, but the position would be reviewed from time to time before this date.

It was agreed to allocate 25 sets of B.V. material for Demonstration and Show cars, and the D.O. will instruct 25 sets of the special parts.

B.V. Outstanding Items.

RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} will arrange for someone to keep in touch with NS.{Norman Scott} until all items other then the Gearbox have been cleared.

In regard to the gearbox, it was agreed to instruct the material to be ordered, so this would be available immediately the design is finalised.
