Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} E2/M24.10.22. GOSHAWK 11+ CARBURETTER X.4228. We send herewith drawing No.LeC.1646 shewing the air valve of Goshawk-11 carburetter modified to prevent the air valve disc from riding on top of the guiding fingers when the air valve is being screwed into the spray chamber as a unit. This latter contingency actually occurs on 6-Goshawk-11, and there is danger of the air valve disc rod being bent. Mr. Royce wishes me to say that he removed the aluminium washer underneath the air valve on the Goshawk we have here so that the air valve disc occupied a lower position in the high speed shoke. This was thought to result in some improvement in carburation. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
