C. to ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} Experimental Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}12/KT. July 17th 1933. John Marston Limited, Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr. Dalrymple. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter (ref. TED/AG) of the 14th. inst. We were agreeably surprised to receive your confirmation of your Mr. Southall's statement that you will shortly be in a position to supply us with Harrison Vee bonded core type matrix blocks. As explained to Mr. Southall, we were under the impression that you were not proceeding any further with the Harrison block, and in consequence we have been making exhaustive enquiries for alternative sources of supply. We may say that our enquiries have not been particularly successful, and in any case we should not wish to buy radiators from anyone else but your goodselves provided that you could supply us with our requirements. It appears that your previous information on this subject (viz, your letter of the 26th. & 27th. April) must have been sent to our buying department who have omitted to pass on the information to us. It would help us considerably if, in the future, you would be kind enough to address any communication containing information of similar nature, i.e. information referring to parts which are not yet a standardised fitting on our cars, to our Experimental Dept. By this means any misunderstanding, due to inadvertent lack of inter-departmental co-operation at our end will in the future be obviated. cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
