(3) It appears that it may be desirable to repeat airscrew vibration tests on De Havilland airscrews in view of the possible effects associated with flexible engine mountings but we shall work in collaboration with Dor{Mr Dorey}/Wks. in this connection. The adaptation of our slip-ring gear to De Havilland airscrews will not be difficult but it will be most convenient to obtain a spare cylinder head from that firm to suit each size of screw under review. It will then be an easy matter to modify this component to carry our slip-ring gearvia a packing-ring and adaptor plate which are simple to construct. We request that consideration be given to obtaining the necessary fitments. ---------- Lr{Mr Ellor}/H.W.S. | ||
