CX{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}/HDY.{William Hardy} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EFC. ORIGINAL. re. HORNS. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/M27.11.30. X1163b/c. This is the situation as we see it. Please correct us if we are wrong. (1) We want a two note electric horn with a view to avoiding the use of the large and expensive wind horn which we find difficult to fit conveniently. (2) The Bosch two note horn is approved of by Sales and WW. (3) The klaxon horn recently fitted to SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car was not approved of. If this is so we suggest that the klaxon horn from SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car should be sent to EFC. in order that he may discuss technically with the makers where and why this horn differs from the corresponding Bosch instrument. We think this is the only way in which we shall get what we want, and believe that our electrical technical staff in Derby are very likely to succeed when the corresponding side of Messrs Klaxon have failed: for example, batteries, magnetos, etc. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} RECEIVED 1 DEC 1930 | ||
