Will you please carry out the following work and modifications and rebuild to revised specification. 1. Engine. Unit No.1 rebuilt to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}8/MH.{M. Huckerby}30.8.37. 2. Engine Mounting. Fit new type mounting to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.30.8.37. 3. Carburettor attend to sticking of choke. 4. Exhaust System. Replacement manifold required. Fit new exhaust system complete to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} instructions. 5. Radiator. Refit existing. 6. Undersheets Fit undersheets prepared for 27.G.VI. 7. Water temperature thermometer. Fit new thermometer supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 8. Oil temperature thermometer. Refit existing. 9. Starting handle. Fit handle to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} instructions 10. Petrol supply system. Fit existing H.P. pumps in frame. (not on specification) replace filter on rear cross member) and pipe up to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems} instructions. 11. Petrol gauge. Fit new gauge head and new tank unit. 12. Clutch. Fit new standard centre plate and facings. 13. Gearbox. Rebuild to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}3/R.1.9.37. attend to fit on taper on 3rd. motion shaft of extension shaft coupling, and instruct all nuts holding tapers in transmission to be extra tight. 14. Propellor shaft. refit existing Hardy Spicer shaft. 15. Rear Axle. Rebuild to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}3/R.1.9.37. and repair damage carrier plates and fit guards as suggested by HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Repair or replace rear hydraulic jacks. damaged when damper connecting arms failed. Increase annular clearance for Acme thread in pinion housing to .010" - .012". 16. Brakes. Reline all shoes with Halo 3Z. Refit existing drums but with eight driving dogs except N.S.F. which requires replacing | ||
