N3/B41012. [STAMP: Circular stamp, mostly illegible, with roman numerals and the number 1130] Re temperature of cooling water. Mr Elliott [struck through] Mr Bailey [struck through] Mr Hormald [struck through] Mr Platford [struck through] Mr Barrington X766 4-10-12 Mr Johnson points out that it is possible when touring in mountainous country to boil away, without knowing it, such a quantity of water that the engine may seize unless the supply is examined at frequent intervals. He wishes the Technical Committee to consider this point and if possible to recommend some scheme which will indicate to the driver that he is short of water.
