X8560 To ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} c. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 4/T3.5.28. X3860 Samples of Glover H.T. cable from recent delivery were submitted to us for test because the external appearance indicated a rather poor Quality. Please find attached copy of my assistant's report WC.101 on H.T. tests of these cables. We should expect the samples to stand a̶ maximum available pressure of 22,000 R.M.S. volts A.C. after immersion in water for 24 hours. Reference to our recent report on Maconlite cable of the same diameter of covering, will show that all the samples of that material, even after a 10,000 or 20,000 mile test on a chassis will stand that pressure. Before issuing a standardisation sheet for the Maconlite cable we are waiting to see if R. {Sir Henry Royce} makes any remarks. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} | ||
