EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/24.11.32. cont. and petrol level gauge. All of these instruments with the exception of the two in the patch will be in the centre of the board and recessed back into the scuttle and illuminated by a flood light. Should this layout of instrument board be liked we should consider mounting the whole of these small instruments in a patch with the R-R Switch Box in the centre. We suggest that the lighting of this patch and of the separate one for the two larger instruments would be by the system which you mentioned to the writer whereby the light is admitted through the edge of the glass. We would be interested to see a design from you on these lines as soon as we are able to send you a layout of the instrument board. We shall require the instruments for the first car to be delivered to Messrs Park Ward & Co Ltd., Coachbuilders. 473, High Road, Willesden. N.W.10. not later than three weeks from this date. We have asked Derby to let you know direct the lengths of the drive cables. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. H I.F.Evernden. [Handwritten Note] Will you please do this. The instruments are on the face of the Scuttle and opposite the steering wheel. [Illegible signature/initials] | ||
