COVENTRY.

Dear Wilks,

We are interested in the new Lucas Starter drive in which is embodied the latest rubber coupling.

One which we have had running about for 18 months was found to be on the point of failing due to the rubber slipping on the inner sleeve. The rubber was found to be badly perished at one end due, we think, to oil attack.

We wondered if you could give us any confidential information as to any troubles that you have experienced with this unit.

Yours sincerely,
