1621 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.1/RH.{R. Hollingworth} 13th June, 1941. Your ref: WEC/EO. Messrs. Weathershields Limited, 147 - 163 Bishop Street, BIRMINGHAM. 5. Attention Mr.W.E.Clements. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 10th Inst., with reference to the cost of the sample set of sliding roof fittings which you made for us. We note your remarks with reference to the conditions under which the roof had to be made and appreciate that due to the abnormal times, extra cost is involved. We do not, however, understand the difficulty in manufacturing as compared with your standard rule. We realise that due to the taper, a rolled section cannot be used and we should like to know whether you consider that the new roof would be difficult for you to manufacture on a production basis. Regarding your sheet metal worker's report that the ramps could not be put in as shown on our drawing, we are at a loss to understand this, as we have had them moved to the position called for. However, under the circumstances, we have asked the people concerned to pass your account as rendered. Yours faithfully, | ||
