4.28. To By/GRL. from By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By.4/MH.{M. Huckerby}16.5.39. GEARBOX BEARINGS - B.V. Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} tells me that 300 sets of bearings for the first motion shaft and the rear end of the third motion shaft have been ordered with a 000 fit. Will you please arrange to alter this order to 50 sets only of 0 fit bearings, as it may be decided after this to fit bearings of the Schatz type. Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} also mentioned that the endwise slack allowed for the inner race of the first motion shaft bearing is from 2½ to 6½ thou, but by reducing the machining allowance on the shaft to +1 and altering the dimensions, this slack can be changed to 0 to 3 thou. accordingly. Will you please have the drawings modified By.{R.W.
